When you send files with Smash, transfer completion can depend on several factors. However, the sending speed itself depends solely on your internet connection.
Our teams have built the infrastructure and systems to ensure uploads and downloads are as fast and seamless as possible.
With Smash paid subscriptions (Pro, Team, Enterprise), transfers benefit from priority processing on our servers. This is not the case with the free version, where transfers larger than 2 GB do not receive priority treatment.
In practical terms, this means that once the upload is complete, your files are immediately available for download. There is no waiting time and no delay between sending and receiving for your recipients.
Note: The upload speed is the same on both the free and paid versions, across the entire service.
