You received files, but time went by… When trying to download them, you see a “Transfer expired” message.
In this case, it’s natural to want to reactivate or recover the transfer.
Unfortunately, this is not possible, and even our team cannot assist with this request. Files sent via Smash are stored temporarily on our servers.
Once the transfer validity period expires, the files are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers. We no longer have any access to them.
It is not possible to recover or reactivate an expired transfer.
Any alternative?
Your only option is to contact the sender and hope they still have the original files so they can send them again.
As a sender, it is essential to keep a copy of the files sent via Smash, so they can be resent if needed and ensure the recipient can access them at any time.
