On Smash, previewing files before downloading is one of our key features.

As a sender or a recipient, it’s extremely useful to get a clear overview of what a Smash link contains.

We understand that your needs are simple: for example, you may want to download only a few files out of many, or quickly review the work delivered by a service provider — all in just a few clicks, without having to download everything.

It’s a real time saver.

Many file types can be previewed on Smash before downloading.

Below is a list of file types that support preview on Smash, depending on the type of access:

File type

Smash access

.jpeg/jpg

Web version, iOS, Android, macOS

.png

Web version, iOS, Android, macOS

.mp3

Web version, Android, macOS, iOS (except on Safari)

.mp4

Web version, iOS, Android, macOS

.mov

Web version, iOS, Android, macOS

.m4v

Web version, iOS, Android, macOS

.wav

Web version, Android, macOS, iOS (except on Safari)

Please note, the preview may not be available for very large files.

If your file type does not appear in this list, Smash is unable to preview it. Of course, you can download it in order to access and discover it.

If you have any questions or recommendations about a certain file type, please don't hesitate contact us.
